Alan is a diverse artist working across various media for the production of his works depending on the outcome his is wanting to achieve.
Silk screen or screenrpinting
The majority of Alan's work are hand made limited edition screenprints (serigraphs) produced passing Acrylic Paint through a silk mesh onto heavy weighted art paper. Very low edition numbers of each piece are produced and which makes Alan's work high in demand.
Each print, although it may be one of a numbered edition is an original, hand-crafted piece of art. Although the image is the same in an edition of hand-made prints, no two are exactly identical as each one has been individually hand printed. Slight differences in the amount of ink applied and the pressure on the press make each print unique.
Once the Covid 19 limitations are lifted customers will be able to come a watch Alan produce his works in the custom built studio at the rear of the gallery and even commission their own bespoke artwork.
Alan has been privately tutored in the art of print making by the London Royal College of Arts, Daniel Bugg.
